This guy has been walking round Bradford for years. I'm 27 and when I was at school he was walking, waving and wearing the same gear even back then. So he's been doing this for at least 20 years. We used to call him Jesus.
My parents have lived in Guiseley for 34 years and have seen him since moving there, normally around Otley and walking around the Chevin, and he's always looked the same, so he must have been knocking about for well over 30 years. But he's always happy and always gives a wave. A legend
When we were teenagers knocking about in our heavy metal clothing in Bradford centre about 15 years ago, he did weird stuff like walk round groups of us in a circle. Seemed kinda like some ritual / exorcism type act.
I have also heard tell that he hasn't altered in many years.
Im 22 and i always remember him walking around - we called him Jesus 2, i heard he has a massive house somewhere

Our team have finally managed to get a good snap of him (read above link). Our next mission is to capture him on video.

I remember seeing the monk in shipley a few years ago at about 1 pm .I was on my way to leeds, at 1.45 pm i saw him in leeds, now he either uses public transport which i doubt,or he has the ability to teleport which i think is a more plausible explination.
I have lived in Bradford (BD4) all me life, I am 47 and I remember him from when I where a teenager, and he looks EXACTLEY the same. Back then we called him 'The Jesus Man' and he would always wave:) What is the secret? Is it the love of God or is he an alien? Lets disect him and find out once an for all!
I always see the monk when i'm on the bus and eh always waves at me as i go past, and sometimes i wave back. Everybody i know always says he waves at them because he's a freak but i'm not too sure. I used to say he's one of the many decipels.
I have known him for many years, spoke to him at shipley at great length. Can't tell you what i talked to him about as it is between me and the monk. I will be meeting him soon again.

See him nearly every weekend! Always give him a pip, and get a friendly wave back, real legend! Usually seen around the apperley bridge area on a sunday. Have a look on youtube, theres some great vids!
There is now a group set up on face book about him with video and lots of snaps too (over 50).. its called "Bradfords Jesus Man"
I used to see him around Pudsey all the time.

I saw him in Brighouse about 6 months ago, he waved and smiled. I used to see him in Bradford in the 1960s. Does anyone know his religious status?

Seen 14/9/09 Menston / Guiseley area. Not walking as well as he was 20 years ago (who is?). I have seen him in Huddersfield area many years ago. Think he must be over 80 now.

A friend recently met him on a train going to Bradford. She asked if she could sit with him and chat, he agreed. From what I have been told my friend actually interrogated him.
When asked about his faith he replied "I have my own faith I'm not with anybody else". He also stated that he lived in Shipley. Interestingly enough he was also aware of his internet following (us daft lot).
I wouldn't want to publish the in's & out's of the conversation as it was private, however, in my opinion he is just an eccentric bloke who likes walking and he has been doing it for many years - he is not a monk at all!
I just got the new iphone 3g s. When I hold down the home button to use voice control it doesn't work. When I open up the camera the video icon does not pop up, and when I tap an object it doesn't focus or center the object.

I download tons of apps to my iPod touch, and they transfer to my dads computer when I sync it. When my dad syncs his iPhone, they get transferred to it. I am 59 years of age and I first spotted this man when I was a bread delivery man around York .
I was 20 years old ( 1971 ). He looked older than me then and younger than me now . I've seen him countless times since all over Yorkshire and often park up to marvel at his run/walk gait .

During the 70s when I was a little nipper me an mi granddad would see him on the occasional Sunday near BFD cathedral an even back then mi granddad said that he'd been knocking about BFD for yrs!
